From the winery: This might be the most powerful and richest Old Hill we ever make, and I couldn’t be happier about it. From some of the lightest yields in the vineyard’s modern history, the 2021 Old Hill is like distilled essence of everything that I love about this site. Wonderfully and exotically perfumed in a way that only happens when the Zin, Grenache, Mataro, and so many others from this ancient vineyard work to reach symphonic heights, this has wonderful concentration and freshness due to the hallmark bright acidities of the vintage. This is a great wine from an excellent vintage, and I will be stashing a fair amount for myself. – winemaker
