Cocktail Corner: Let’s Make An Arugula Gimlet For Summer!

I discovered this cocktail at Back Bar in Somerville, MA and knew I had to share it with our community here at TSG! We are loving this unique take on a classic gimlet. The crisp flavors of arugula bring out a hint of spice in the cocktail. When combined with freshly squeezed lime, the result is a refreshing and vibrant summer sipper! Trust me on this one – you’ll want to give it a try. Cheers!

Arugula Gimlet

Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 3/4 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1 wheel lime (garnish)

Instructions

  • Combine gin, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill partway with ice, then top with arugula. Cover and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a coupe glass, garnish with lime wheel.
