ARMENIA

Areni is Armenia’s leading red grape variety, capable of making energetic wines full of bright fruity flavors. The gorgeous wines of Zulal are grown in volcanic soils at high elevation – resulting in an aromatic wine with notes of red cherries, plums, and notes of pepper. On the palate it’s medium-bodied, with refreshing acidity and concentrated flavors of berries and spices. The finish is deliciously dry, mouthwatering, and will leave one wanting more.

Food Pairings: Mushrooms risotto with green herbs, chicken thighs braised with balsamic glaze, a plate of grilled eggplant parmesan, or lamb skewers with tzatziki.
