SAPERAVI QVEVRI VINOBIZA
REPUBLIC OF GEORGIA
A note from the winemaker: We’re sure everyone learned about this ancient Georgian process to ferment wine in their 8am Eurasian History 101 class in college. But just as a refresh, this wine is fermented in a “qvevri” or clay pot buried in the ground. You could say a qvevri is the original pot. Blaze up. Skin, stem and flesh are all included with the juice to give the wine its pure and natural flavor with deep fruit aromas and floral touches. Saperavi Qvevri is low in sulfites, high in minerals, and has a solid tannic backbone. We give you full permission to talk extensively about this ultra-premium wine at your next dinner party.
