CHIANTI CLASSICO, TUSCANY, ITALY
This was very first wine produced by Querceto back in 1998 and is appropriately named after owner and the heart of Querceto, Laura Di Battista. (Fun fact: Querceto is a place we visit on our client trips to Tuscany, and Laura graciously gives us cooking classes.)

A vibrant ruby red wine. It shows us magical aromas of fresh red and black cherries, violets and pepper. On the palate it is medium bodied, and full spirited, exemplary of fabulous Sangiovese. It’s shows us fabulous structure, acid and tannins that are balanced by perfectly ripe, premium fruit. Aged 12 months in French oak & then another 3 months in bottle.

Food Pairings: Classic Italian pasta dishes with meat sauces, pork stuffed with spinach and pine nuts, vegetarian involtini stuffed with cabbage.
