MONTEFALCO, UMBRIA, ITALY

Montefalco is a beautiful hill town in Umbria and the Bea family has been recorded there since the 1500s. They are a classic Italian fattoria – the grow and produce everything they sell and bring to us. This wine is a rustic style – classic of Bea. This blend of Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Montepulciano comes from a 50-year-old vineyard which is dominated by clay soil. You can sense this with the acidity and earthiness in the wine. It’s medium-full bodied with a robust mouthfeel. The wine is aged for three years in stainless steel and an additional four to 12 months in bottle before release. A true collectible!
