Aged for 10 months in Hungarian oak barrels, this Merlot shows a deep garnet color and an enticing nose of mulberry, pine, and cocoa powder. The palate is rich with notes of plum, black cherry, and cedar that leads into a smooth, supple mouthfeel, finished with soft, round tannins. A beautiful representation of Merlot from this AVA, and a fabulous introduction to New York wine.
