LA SPINETTA VURSU BARBARESCO
La Spinetta & winemaker Giorgio Rivetti do it again. Lovely aromas of red roses and cedar. Lush flavors of dark cherries and blackberries meld together with present but soft tannings. Maceration and fermentation in temperature-controlled vats occurred for about 14-15 days. Malolactic fermentation happens in French oak barrels, with 20% new and the remaining second passage. It aged 20-22 months and then bottle-aged for another 6 months. A beauty that can age for 15+ years.
