A note from the producer: Our whisky has come a long way since it was just a dream in a sauna. This one goes even further: it’s rye malt whisky aged in three barrel types: new American oak, ex-bourbon and Spanish Oloroso sherry. Kyrö Malt Oloroso is an inspirational example of the possibilities of different cask finishes. It is also a perfect example of what a versatile grain rye truly is. The sweet sherry and Finnish rye are indeed a perfect match. The Oloroso sherry cask finish gives the whisky rich and mellow character.
