CHAMPAGNE, FRANCE

A note from the winemaker: In honor of Jean, the founder, this Extra Brut champagne of 100% Pinot Noir evokes the family history, and the transmission of know-how along the line of “Jean”s, even up to today: Jean-Pierre, Jean-Félix (and grandson Jean, born in July 2012). Made from a selection of wines from several years’ Pinot Noir harvests, this champagne is powerful and generous. It is yellow gold in color, with a seductive nose showing hints of hawthorn, apple and strawberry compote. In the mouth, it is a mixture of liveliness and vinosity, very fruity, with a finish of peaches.

Food Pairings: Grilled fish, roasted chicken, salads, or cheese boards.
