From the producer: Hennessey Ridge vineyard is planted on a ridge top on the northeast shore of Lake Hennessey, just one ridge line north of Pritchard Hill. It is a tiny one-acre vineyard that I farm by hand with zero chemical inputs. That means an extraordinary amount of labor to create perfect sun exposure and air flow as a natural way to protect the grapes. This is a true natural wine from the heart of Napa Valley. The 2018 is a complete and perfectly balanced wine – fresh aromatics, concentrated yet energetic palate, and a long vibrant finish. It has waves of flavor and trembles with life. It is delightfully juicy and wild right now, like an unbroken colt, and you would not regret opening one with a ribeye today. Yet it will only go up from here and the sky is the limit. It is one of the most age worthy wines we have produced.
