NAPA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA

From a unique single-vineyard located in the rugged slopes of Howell Mountain, this area is home to quite a bit of wild life. To keep bears away from merlot grapes (their favorite) Dennis Cakebread once hooked up a motion detector to a boom box. It didn’t work, but the resulting videos of the bears in action inspired the name of the property and its signature wine. Bursting with flavors of black cherry, fig, and new French oak. A must-try for wine collectors, enthusiasts, and animal lovers.
